Enjoy stunning views of Sitka's Thompson Harbor and Mt. Edgecumbe in this waterfront house.

Recently remodeled, the Hughes House offers great views of Sitka's ocean and mountains from almost every room. Fully equipped with a spacious kitchen, laundry unit, and a large yard great for gatherings or a bonfire by the ocean.

The main floor offers 3 bedrooms. The bed set up is as follows: one room with two twin beds, a queen bed in the second and a queen bed in the third bedroom as well. The main floor sleeps up to 6 guests. There is one full bathroom and one half bathroom for guests to use. The rental also boosts a large kitchen, living room and a TV room.

Guests renting the house will have access to the laundry facilities located in the basement.

    Hi George, thank you for the review. The property description clearly describes how the house is broken up into two levels and to add the basement is an extra fee. The pricing structure is included at the top of the decsription. We also sent an email after the booking was received to confirm you understood how the pricing works. We are sorry you missed reading or understanding what you were booking. We did attempt to make the situation right after it was brought to our attention you didn't understand how the price structure worked upon check in.   The rental was in a good location and not that far from town. The scenic views of the harbor and mountains in the background were an absolute treat. Thank you for having some food and hygiene items on hand that would help any forgetful guests. The place was clean and pretty much comfortable. The Hughes House was the right size for our all our family and the extended family who live in Alaska. Thank you for the use of the property. Thank you for the binoculars as well. It made it easy to look at the wild life, boats and mountains up close. My husband walked down the road to watch a high school baseball game in the rain, which normally does not happen in most places in the lower 48. It was a great time for all. Yes, everything worked.

  We are a family of 8 and it was perfect. Everyone had a bedroom and there’s a large kitchen table that we crowded around each night. We did not rent a car which was fine for our family but you have to be willing to walk. The views from the the kitchen table overlook the marina and towards town which were great. We’d absolutely recommend this house. Very fun

  From check-in to check-out this vacation rental was perfect for our family vacation. Property owners were responsive and helpful when we reached out due to weather related flight changes. House was well kept and clean, located right on the water and walkable into town. Everything we needed was available for cooking or bbq including condiments and spices.   A wonderful house with an abundance of amenities. Our party seven was very comfortable and loved the water front view from the dining table and the living room. Very clean and everything looked so fresh. Excellent wifi and the bear spray and air hornes were much apprecaited as we did alot of hiking. Will stay at the Hughes House again.
