  Our stay was nice at the SeaGypsy Escape. The location was great and close to everything. There was definitely wear and tear on the place. Another minor inconvenience was no dishwasher. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

  needing a comfortable, warm base camp for hiking and sightseeing. This house met our expectations. Very clean, simple and not fancy but exceedingly comfortable. Location was the best part. Across the road from a park on the bay, we used the beach as much as the house. Perfect sunsets every night.

  Very good!
  Weather was perfect, so we didn’t need to spend too much time inside. However, a few items to note:
  The grill is missing a grease drip tray. It would be better if the kitchen had a couple more pots/pans and a decent set of kitchen knives. Regular size forks would be a plus. More pillows or better quality pillows would be great.
  Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

  We had a wonderful time in Sitka visiting with family. This rental was perfect. Clean with lots of room. The heating system was being upgraded when we were there, but Columbus (on-site manager) was very good about keeping us informed and making sure we had heat if we needed it (he was very nice).

  We really enjoyed the location, not quite in the middle of town but very easy to get anywhere in Sitka. House is easy to access on the main road but set back so its not loud or busy. Loved the covered porch and the spacious mudroom with washer/dryer. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels and basics for us to use!

  Everything was as described, clean and comfortable. In the mornings you can hear the waves gently coming ashore. The beach is across Halibut Point Road hidden by a few trees. The grocery store is a very short walk and has an attached liquor store if needed. The house would comfortably cater 4 adults but sleeps 5.
  We will be back and would happily visit the Gypsy again.

  We rented this house for a visit with family from out of state. The space worked really well for the 6 of us. We particularly enjoyed being able to cross the street to beach comb along the rocky shore. There are other easier beach-access areas within a 1/4 mile to a couple miles down the road. The house had plenty of cookware and whatever else we needed during our stay. We had an issue getting in on arrival as a result of someone accidentally locking an internal door after the door you enter with the key entry pad, but the local office responded quickly to help us get in. The space was quiet after a day out exploring town or participating in recreational activities. We rented a car to get us around. It would be a bit of a walk or bike ride to get to downtown Sitka along a busy road, but doable.
